I believe that every student should be proud of where they come from.  In my class we will have a student of the week.  When it is your childs week they will be required to make a poster of their life.  Sample questions will be provided, but feel free to add any information you would like.  This poster should provide the class with insight into the student.  When it is your childs week you may send in something that relates to their culture.  The student will have a chance to explain the item to the class and answer any questions their peers may have.  I want to teach all my students that they should be opening and welcoming to other cultures.  It is important to open the minds and eyes of children.
